| The mission of the group is to promote peace in our community by developing our life philosophies and carrying out dialogues with people. We want to introduce the Buddhist teachings to students, faculty, and the community by providing a forum for the members of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI) Buddhist Group and others to study and discuss Nichiren Daishonin's teachings. At the same time, we hope to support those who are striving to overcome their obstacles by sharing experiences with each other. Finally, we are working to further spread an understanding and awareness of philosophies of nonviolence to the student and faculty body politic.
